As you can see, it's designed to be stored inside our vehicle when it's not in use in order to protect it from the elements. We have this nice dust cover that's built on to it, which will keep dirt and debris out of our connector when it's not in use. When we're ready to tow our trailer, we simply just drap our wiring down next to our hitch, keeping it away from out hatch latch. As you can see, we have an adequate length of wire here to hook up to our trailers wiring. Now this gives us all the functions that we need that are required by law in order to safely tow a trailer. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2017 Buick Envision, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with a Four-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118725.Here's what the wiring harness looks like installed. This wiring harness will allow us to safely and legally tow a trailer with the lighting functions that are required by law. Our white wire provides the necessary ground connection between our Envision and our trailer. Our brown wire is for our tail light and running light circuit. Our yellow wire is for our left brake light and left turn signal, and our green wire is for our right brake light and right turn signal.Now, on these three wires we have a total power output of 7.7 amps of power per wire. Today on our 2015 Buick Encore we're going to be taking a look at and installing the T1 vehicle wiring harness with four pull flat trailer connector. Part number 118588. Right now our four way trailer plug is stored away from the elements. When we're ready to use it we'll lift up our cover. We can set our wire out through whatever length you're going to need, then we'll lay it across the sill plate, across this rubber weather seal. Just make sure you stay away from the latch area and you can simply close your hatch, remove your cover, plug in your trailer, and you're ready to go. more

Today on our 2010 Buick Enclave we'll be taking a look at and installing a Curt T connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole, flat trailer connector, part number C56027. Now we're going to go ahead and test out our wiring. Go ahead and remove the cover, we'll hook up our ground, and then we're going to test out our running lights first which will be that brown wire. Running lights off. Now left turn signal, yellow wire, off, and passenger side, the green wire. Brakes, we'll get that constant signal on both our green, and our yellow. All right, our wires look good. First thing we'll do, go ahead and lift up that rear hatch to gain access to our taillight assemblies. more

Today, on our 2014 Buick Enclave, we're going to take a look at, and show you how to install, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for factory tow packages. Now the first step in our install, what we're going to do is come up just to the outside of the passenger side tail pipe here. If we reach directly in between the outside body and the steel body, right up here, we're going to find our connector. Now, because it's hard to see underneath we'll show you out here. It's going to be located about right here in this area, so you just have to reach up in there. I'm going to take my trim panel removal tool and try to take out that Christmas tree fastener. You could use a trim panel tool. more

All right, today on this 2007 Buick Rendezvous we're going to show you the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness, part number C55383. With this part number, this is what you get, obviously your wire harness and two T-connectors. Yellow wire T-connector goes to driver side. Green wire T-connector goes over to the passenger side. You've got a nice long length of wire that will reach from one side to the other and this is our four pull flat. When a four pull is not being used it comes with a cover for it as well, plus, some zip ties and screw for the ground. more

Today on our 2000 Buick Regal, we'll be installing the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Flat Trailer Connector part number C58044. We can show you how you can close your deck lid on the wires as long as you make sure to stay away from the deck lid latch. The molding around the deck lid is soft enough that it will not hurt the wiring when the deck lid was closed. When you're done using it, you can simply open the trunk, fold up your wiring harness, stored in the spare tire well where it's out of the way. To begin our installation, we're going to go ahead and open the trunk. We're here on the driver side, we'll need to remove the 2 cargo net hooks. Once we'd removed those we can go ahead and begin peeling back the carpeting, exposing the taillight wiring harness. more

Today on our 2011 Buick LaCrosse, we're going to be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector, art number 56098. With our trunk open, we're going to go ahead and remove a coverings in here, the part that covers up the spare tire. Next, we're going to need to remove this rear threshold or scuff panel piece. Now to remove the scuff panel, you need to use a large flat head screwdriver or a trim panel removal tool, it look something like this. Go ahead and set that aside for now. Next, we're going to need to come here to the inner trunk lining and there's some push fasteners that secure this lining in place. We have one here and one here. Go ahead and release those. more

Today on this 2008 Buick Enclave, we're going to install part number 118450 from TowReady, the T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness. To start off our install, we're going to need to open up the back hatch so we can remove the taillights. Once we get access to the taillights, we need to remove 2 screws.They're hidden behind 2 covers. We'll go ahead and pop the covers loose, and then remove the screws. In this case we're using the 7mm socket. Once the screws are removed, we'll go ahead and pull back the taillight. more

Today on our 2012 Buick Enclave, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole flat connector, part number 118450. Now to begin our install we'll need to open up the rear hatch. Then we'll move over to the taillight assembly where we'll need to remove the two fasteners that secure the taillight assembly. To remove the fasteners, we'll remove the protective caps first and then the fasteners underneath. Once we remove the fasteners, we'll go ahead and pop the taillight assembly out being careful not to break the alignment pin underneath. Then we'll go ahead and remove the manufacturer's connector from the back of the taillight. We'll press on the locking tab and separate the two connectors. more

Today on our 2005 Buick Rendezvous we're going to be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118383. We'll begin here at the rear of the vehicle. We'll need to open up the rear hatch. Next we're going to need to remove a few interior panels to gain access to the taillight wiring. We'll begin over here on the passenger side. We'll need to remove this little cover here by simply lifting up on the tabs, gently pulling out and then set that one aside. We'll go ahead and repeat that same process over here on the driver side. Next we're going to need to remove this rear threshold piece. more

Today on our 2013 Buick Conclave, we'll be installing the Tow Ready, T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number 118579. To begin our installation on the vehicle wiring harness, we'll need to raise the rear hatch of the vehicle. We'll need to remove each of the taillight assemblies. To do this, we'll need to remove two covers that cover up small bolts on each side. You'll see that there's a bolt under each cover. We'll need to remove each of these bolts. Once these two have been removed, we can gently slide the whole light assembly out towards the rear of the vehicle. more

Today on this 2013 Buick Enclave, we're going to install part number 119147KIT from Tow Ready. First thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the back hatch and get access to the tail lights. Then, we need to remove two plastic covers for the screws. You can pry them just a little bit and they simply pop off. Once we have access to the screws, we'll go ahead and unbolt the tail light. With the screws removed we'll go ahead and gently pull the tail light out backwards and away from the body work. more

Today on our 2012 Buick Lacrosse, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 Connector, part number 118497. First, we'll open up the rear cargo door on our trunk and then we'll need to access the wiring behind the tail lights. To access the tail lights, we'll first remove the spare tire cover and rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold, we'll gently pry out on the bottom and then pull up, popping all the fasteners free from the sheet metal. Next, we'll go ahead and remove the pushpin fasteners securing the carpet behind the tail lights. Now, we can pull the carpet away. more

Alright, today on this 2004 Buick Rendezvous we're going to install part number 41405 from Hopkins. This is a wiring harness that plugs in to the factory towing port. First, we'll go ahead and locate the port. It's underneath the vehicle, on the driver side, above the suspension in the corner by the bumper. We'll go ahead and use a trim panel tool to remove it from the sheet metal underneath then we'll go ahead and remove the cap. There's a small tab we need to pull up then it comes right apart.Now we'll take our new wiring harness, we'll add some dielectric grease that comes with it to the terminal then we'll go ahead and snap it into place. more

Today on this 2003 Buick Rendezvous were going to install part number 118383 from Tow Ready. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the hatch and remove the two taillights and disconnect the electrical from them. With the lights removed well go ahead and loosen up the wire harness that goes into the body. Pull the grommet out and move it to the side for now. Next well go on the interior of the vehicle and well remove the floor coverings, the threshold and loosen up the panels on the side. Now we can go ahead and start installing the wire harness. more

Today on this 2000 Buick Century we are going to install part number 18252. To wire the vehicle up we are going to have to get to the back of the tail lights and the wire harness is ran up behind here and into the tail light. We are going to have to go to both sides of the vehicle and right now we are looking at the driver side. What we are going to do is take off the fasteners that hold this cover in place so you can get back to the wires. You can see the wires that go in the tail lights will be pretty easy. We will peel back the electric tape so we can get access to the wires. We have got the wires bare, now we will test which wire does what function. First we will start of with the running lights. The kit comes with a supplied light tester so that looks like the running light circuit so that is going to be brown so we will hook up our wire to the 4-pole and the running light on the 4-pole will be brown also. Slide on the scotch lock that comes with the kit and run the brown wire next to it and we will squeeze it with the pliers and we are good to go. 01:04 more

Today on this 2010 Buick Enclave we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118450. We are at the rear cargo area of the Enclave, and we are going to locate the ports that we are going to be plugging our wiring harness into. These ports are actually located directly behind the tail light assembly on both the driver and passenger side. So, the first thing we want to do is remove both tail light assemblies. To do that we are going to open up the rear cargo door, there are two inboard screws holding the tail light into place. We need to pull back the covers to expose those. :30 more

Today on this 2009 Buick Enclave we will be installing wiring harness part number 118450. The connection points for our wiring harness are located directly behind the tail light assemblies on both of the drivers and passengers sides. So the first thing we need to do is go ahead and remove both of those. And that will expose the two screws that are holding the tail light onto the vehicle. We will go ahead and remove those. We will just gently pull away the tail light connector that we are going to be connecting our harness into located right here. We want to go ahead and press the tab here at the top of the connector. And that will allow us to pull the two pieces apart. I am going to set the tail light aside for the time being. We will take the harness here and we will start with the connectors that have the yellow and brown wires on it. more

Today we are going to install part number 118396 from Tow Ready. We are going to install this T-1 harness on a 2005 Buick Terraza. And also, we are going to use a bracket, part number 118144. First we will install our bracket. It is going to install to the factory bracket that is on the hitch. Now this bracket here, it can be installed like this on the hitch. Or, if you did not have a bracket on the hitch, you could easily attach this to the bumper. We will go ahead and start installing our T-1 connector. And we do have to get the tail lights off the vehicle, so we have to open up the back hatch to get to the screws to take off the tail lights. We will take off these two screws right here and then we just pop the whole assembly off. Once you have the tail light loose, go ahead and disconnect it from the wire harness. It is this connection right here you want to take apart. And then go ahead and repeat the same steps for the other side. more
